Don’t Give Up On Your Dreams
As I sit here I find myself thinking about the future and from within me come a great excitement for the upcoming year. I don’t know what will happen this coming year, but I feel great opportunities will come for many people. I believe we are coming upon a time when there will be great change. For some, it will be bad, but for others, who seize the opportunities that will come before them, it will be a time of great advancement.
Everyone will have to admit that things are changing and a lot of them are not for the good. We will be facing a time of great adversity, but with difficult times come opportunities for doing great things. I believe in my heart that it is as much the times that make the man, or woman, as it is the person that makes the times.
Over the past few years, I’ve seen many people lay down their dreams, because they have felt that it would not come to pass. Their dreams now lie in the back of their mind gathering dust like an old forgotten pair of shoes that lie in the back of a closet. Now is not the time to give up on your dreams. Now is the time to pull out those old dreams that lie within you and dust them off and look at them with a newly found passion, purpose, and resolve. Don’t give up on your dreams. Your dreams are who you are and they are the key to your destiny.
Every dream is a seed that God has placed inside of you. A seed that takes time to grow and develop and it’s not an overnight process.
Mark 4:26 And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,
Mark 4:27 “and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.
Mark 4:28 “For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.
Mark 4:29 “But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
This is a new year with new opportunities. Don’t give up. Like the sun rising on a new day can bring new hope to a saddened heart, so will this year be to many people. You can’t fail, but you can quit at any time.
