A Simpler Life
Life got a whole lot simpler for me several years ago when I began to put everything into two categories. The categories are: “Right” and “Wrong”. There is no grey area and wrong never becomes right as a matter of convenience and the two are never in agreement. If you cheat on your taxes, you will cheat on your spouse, if it is a matter of convenience. If you lie at work you will lie to your spouse, if it is convenient. If you can’t trust a person’s “word”, then you can’t trust them. That’s part of the problem with many of the politicians in today’s society.
Undoubtedly, I have made mistakes, but truth is never relative. Our standard of truth should always be centered on the Word of God. When ever I have found myself in error, I changed my opinion. I never try to change the Word of God. Hidden agendas will never work and should never be accepted in church. Right is right and wrong is wrong.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
